Nature Playscapes!

NEW for summer 2021!!!!  Here is a PDF you can print off and make your own rating system!  Give each park between 1-5 MUDSPLATS!

What is a Nature Playscape?  Unlike traditional playgrounds made of plastic and metal, nature playscapes use natural materials like streams, plants, boulders, logs, earth mounds and the like to provide a highly creative, interactive play experience – an experience designed to build healthier bodies and minds and grow a future generation of nature lovers. Thank you to the Wilderness Center in Wilmot, Ohio for this great definition!

I developed this list of Nature Playscapes in collaboration with Miami Valley Leave No Child Inside. My original list is for the Dayton area.  What are the best Nature Playscapes in your part of Ohio?  Email me at meredith@ohionaturallyeducation.com and I'll add new regions!
