About the event
Seeds are all around us. Â In this workshop we will examine not only the science of seeds, but also the cultural, metaphorical, and practical applications of seeds in the early childhood classroom. Â Together we will examine free to low cost ways of looking at our world through a lens of seeds and growing things. Â This workshop is ideal for child-led, discovery-led or project based learning. Â Using hands-on exploration participants will help co-create ways to incorporate the natural world's seeds throughout the entire year and will walk away with a sample yearly outline as well as literature recommendations. Â This workshop will be held outside*, please dress accordingly. Â Light dinner will be provided highlighting seeds. Â We will be hiking through the woods and closed toed shoes and long pants are suggested. Â We will be walking and standing for a good part of the workshop, please email me at meredith@ohionaturallyeducation.com if you need accommodations. Â Please bring a water bottle!
*Registration and tickets are non-refundable unless the presentor cancels the event due to inclement weather or emergency. Â This program will take place in light rain or cold/hot weather. Â
